The '67 Ford Falcon,
on a rainy,
new section of
ash fault
at 60 miles an hour,
hydroplaned,
rolled
along the top
of a guard rail
on the north side of the
highway (across from the Fuji film warehouse),
and stopped back on it' wheels.
It did not burst into flames.
But the watch that was given
by Ed's best friend in Winnipeg,
Steve George
on the occasion of Ed being
the best man
at his wedding,
lost it's battery,
mid air,
while the car was
upside down,
rolling along the guard rail.
The watch, forever stopped at 4:30:17 am.
